Aldo Meetings is at the core of the Aldo Platform and includes Aldo Webinar, Aldo Presenter and Aldo Signage products. The Aldo Platform uses newer web technologies and is built upon W3C standards technologies. The Aldo Platform and applications are Cloud Native and runs in a browser, eliminating application installation on a computer for enhanced security. To use Aldo Meetings on Cell Phones or Tablets, the Aldo VCall application is in the app stores.
When creating an Aldo meeting, a Meeting Host can add a conference room display driven with Aldo Presenter to autojoin a scheduled meeting. When a meeting starts, no interaction with the TV display is required and the meeting view is displayed on the conference room TV. Similarly, if a Meeting Host has enabled the Webinar option, that meeting can be extended into a webinar with a mouse click. Aldo Meetings, Webinars and Presenter operates seamlessly across devices, operating systems and networks.

Whiteboard

Aldo's Whiteboard App provides a set of drawing tools, allowing users to annotate documents and images. Whiteboard can operate in non-interactive or interactive mode, where all users can participate.

PC Docs

Present and share document files stored on your computer without any additional application needed. Now, documents can be presented to other meeting attendees without the presenter having to share desktop.

Web Docs

Have PowerPoint, Word, Spreadsheet or other documents stored in the cloud? Use the Aldo Web Docs App to access files stored in the cloud on Google Drive, OneDrive and others.

PC Videos

Play video content from your local system using the PC Videos App. Find and play video content locally or share with all meeting participants.

Transcribe

Flexible Recording and Playback

Recording

A Meeting Host has full control of recordings. Recordings can be saved on a presenter’s computer or on the Aldo cloud platform (which provides a higher level of functionality). From the Meeting Host Portal, Meeting Hosts can choose whether to record meeting video, audio, screenshare, and chat. Meeting Hosts can also set bookmarks on the meeting timelines to mark different sections like Q&A, or to mark which discussion topic was of most interest to the audience. These bookmarks are then shown on the player timeline when playing back recorded video through the Aldo Playback Authoring feature.

Playback

Aldo Meetings provides a powerful Playback Authoring feature that enables the reuse of content recorded with the cloud recording feature during an Aldo meeting or webinar. Users can create a playback page with custom branding, titles, background images and add recorded content within regions, including recorded chat. Add bookmarks to highlight important sections of a video. YouTube and Vimeo videos can also be added for improved messaging, further enhancing the overall impact. A shareable playback link is generated for easy viewing.

Transcribe

This feature converts a presenter’s speech to text in real time and is stored in the Meeting Host’s account on the Aldo platform. This text can be downloaded and uploaded after editing. The edited transcript can be included in playing back recorded meetings and webinars.

Anyone who’s ever attended an online meeting or a webinar knows how frustrating and awkward it is when a presenter has trouble finding and opening their presentation documents. Not only does this lag extend the meeting duration, it also loses audience engagement. Aldo’s Content Orchestration feature solves this problem by enabling presenters to organize presentations, videos, files to share, surveys, etc. in advance. For a superior audience experience, a meeting host can setup a welcome message, meeting agenda or playing a video before the scheduled start time.

Before the meeting, a Meeting Host can upload content onto the Aldo Content Management System (CMS), include meeting or webinar video recordings, add web URLs to documents, videos, surveys, etc. There is a built-in Survey creation module that enables taking surveys during the meeting and optionally showing survey results in real time. During the meeting, all the content is made available via the Meeting Resources panel on the main menu. From here, a presenter can re-arrange the order in which various content will be used during the meeting.

Aldo Web Meetings is designed for ease of use. A user can start an instant meeting with ease or an Aldo Meeting Host can schedule a meeting via the Aldo Portal. Some of the features supported are scheduling, inviting participants, participant level password and syncing with Outlook, Google calendar and other popular calendaring / meeting scheduling services. This is where a Meeting Host sets permissions for various meeting participants, like permission to Only View a presentation to being able to use multi-party whiteboard. A Meeting room invitation URL and Broadcast view URL are accessible from this portal.

For simple user requirements, you can use Aldo Presenter independently of Aldo Portal. In a classroom setting, for example, different instructors need to use Aldo to project content via the classroom projector, but they wouldn’t necessarily need to schedule “meetings” or reserve specific rooms.

Aldo Web Meetings is available in various configurations to meet your specific business and enterprise needs.

Requirements to Use

Unlike our current competitors, Aldo is built with a standards-based, new generation of web technologies and runs on all modern browsers. This eliminates the need to install a desktop application. Additionally, Aldo runs on a broad spectrum of computers/devices and operating systems. It’s also available for mobile devices through the Google and Apple app stores.

To use Aldo, we require a Windows, Mac, Chrome or Linux operating system with a minimum of 4GByte memory. But for advanced features and larger meetings, we recommend 8Gbyte. Since users will access Aldo via their web browser, a minimum network speed of 2mbps is required. However, for HD video and/or larger video calls we recommend 8mbps or higher.

Value Proposition for Enterprise Customers

Meet all your meeting room scheduling, presentation and web meeting needs with a combination of Aldo Presenter, Aldo Web Meetings and iRevo Digital Signage (iDS) software. All of which are integrated seamlessly within one platform. Users can access all Aldo Presenter and Aldo Web Meetings features, configure meeting room displays, and manage Meeting Hosts from the same Aldo Portal.

iRevo’s iDS software enables users to display meeting room schedules on a meeting room TV or on a tablet mounted outside the meeting room. iDS supports building custom presentation and meeting display views, whether on a single large screen display or when using up to four displays at once.

Unlike some other presentation or web meetings solutions, use of Aldo software is not tied to an operating system, office or docs suite or a user ID on a particular platform.

meeting. Our goal is to provide both excellent user experience and powerful security measures.

Meeting Security

Meeting Security Options:

  • Aldo Meeting Hosts can create a meeting with password enabled. This is the default setting.
  • For Enterprise users, there is an option to provide a unique password for each meeting participant.
  • Meeting Participants can join a meeting up to 10 minutes before the scheduled meeting time.
  • Meeting Hosts can mute participants audio or video.
  • Meeting Hosts can remove participants from meeting room.
  • Lock Meeting : Secures an ongoing meeting by not allowing anyone to join after a selected duration has elapsed after the start of a meeting.

Data Security

Data and System (PC) Security: Meeting data (audio, video, chat, screen share, etc.) transmission and reception is encrypted between presenter and Aldo Platform as well as between participants and Aldo Platform.

iRevo offers different levels of security measures for data in transit and data storage location choice. Meetings with a small number (2 to 5 users) of participants can be scheduled with an option to bypass the Aldo Platform for data transfer. For ultimate data security, iRevo offers Enterprise customers an option to deploy the Aldo Platform on a customer’s private cloud / premise.

The Aldo Platform incorporates data security protocols standards DTLS and SRTP as defined by IETF. Aldo runs within common web browsers like Chrome, Edge, Firefox and Safari, and does not require software installation or browser plug-ins. The browser protects user computers with enhanced security through Aldo’s in-browser sandbox.

Since Aldo Meetings does not require software installation on user computers, nor software update installations, the threat of cyber-attacks via installed software or false update installations is removed.
