If you already have a Netflix subscription, then just log into the Netflix channel on any iRevo Smart Device and enjoy. Browse any of our numerious channels, like YouTube and Instagram, or install another new favorite app or game from the Google Play Store.

As easy as it sounds, we know you might still have some questions. Below you will find the most frequently asked questions about the iRevo Smart TV, iRevo Smart PC, TelePlay and other features of iRevo Smart Devices.

    • What is the iRevo Smart Device?

      The iRevo Smart Device, along with the iRevo Smart software, is a device that connects to your T.V. and home network to bring web content and web applications to your T.V.. Users can interact with Web applications and Web content using the iRevo Smart software to access, view and share content. The iRevo Smart Device enables access and viewing of personal media on any TV and sharing with friends and family.
    • What does the iRevo Smart software do for me?

      The iRevo Smart software is a new class of application that provides an environment to access, view and interact with popular web applications, web media (photos, video, music, etc.) and local (PC, LAN, USB, etc.) media. Its channel driven interface is designed for easy navigation on any T.V. display.
    • What are the system requirements for using the iRevo Smart Device?

      • Display device with a HDMI input
      • Internet connection 
    • I cannot turn on the iRevo Smart Device?

      Check if the power connector is completely plugged into the DC socket of your Smart Device.
      a. Check if the power supply is stable.
      b. Check if the blue LED on the front panel is on. 
    • What resolutions does iRevo Smart Device support?

      iRevo Smart TV supports HD to full HD resolutions. 
    • What video formats are supported with iRevo Smart Device?

      All popular video formats are compatible with iRevo Smart Device. 
    • What input devices are recommended?

      Remote Control
      You can use an IR Remote Control (optional with some models) with the iRevo Smart TV.
      It is automatically active upon power-up of the device. Consult the iRevo Smart TV Installation and User Guide for remote control key functionality.

      Mouse
      You can use a wired or wireless USB mouse with the iRevo Smart TV (not included). Insert the USB receiver into a USB port on the iRevo Smart TV. Make sure that mouse has batteries installed. Follow the Mouse and / Keyboard’s user manual instructions to pair them with USB receiver.

      Keyboard
      For use as a PC for fast typing with applications like e-mail, social media and Google Docs, a wired or wireless USB keyboard is recommended (not included).

      Air Mouse
      You can use the iRevo Air Mouse (optional with some models) with the iRevo Smart TV. Insert the USB receiver into a USB port on the iRevo Smart TV. Make sure that Air Mouse has batteries installed. Press the RIGHT ARROW key and the VOLUME - key until the LED on the remote stops flashing. Consult the Air Mouse User Manual for full instructions. 
    • Mouse looses or does not have connectivity?

      Most common reason is weak battery. Please make sure that the batteries used are fresh and of Alkaline type.

      • Mouse is too far away from the Smart TV; re-orient the mouse closer to the iRevo Smart TV.

      • Remove the USB Mouse receiver from the iRevo Smart TV and plug it back in. Wait 3 to 5 seconds before the pointer will show up.

      • During power on, the mouse must be brought close to USB receiver for pairing. 
    • Which 3G dongles are supported with iRevo Smart Device?

      All GSM 3G Plug and Play Dongles are supported by iREVO Smart Device. Just to make sure your dongle is rightly connected to the device - Go to Settings › More› Mobile Networks › Access Point Names (Your Access point name should be displayed). 
    • What Web Applications are supported by iRevo Smart TV?

      The iRevo Smart TV is a unique software application. It allows you to access and interact with multimedia content and brings you some of the most popular web applications on your HDTV in a way so that it is easy to use on your HDTV. At present, the iRevo Smart TV supports Google Maps, Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram applications. 
    • Does iRevo Smart Device support applications and social networking?

      Yes. We currently support Facebook, Twitter, Google Maps, and Instagram, among others. We also include a full access browser as well for visiting sites and apps that are not currently native to iRevo Apps. 
    • I have internet access, but some applications are telling me that there is no internet access?

      Check the System Date and Time in the Android settings and make sure that the system date and time are correct. Some applications, such as the Google Play store will not work properly if the date and time are not correct. 
    • Can I use the iRevo Smart Device as a Wi-Fi hotspot?

      Yes. You can turn your iRevo Smart Device into a WiFi Hotspot to share your Internet connection with up to 5 other wireless devices.

      When the iRevo Smart Device is serving as a Wi-Fi Hotspot, you cannot use the Wi-Fi connection to access the Internet, you must use the Ethernet connection for access to the Internet. You configure the hotspot with the Wi-Fi Hotspot setting.

      From the Android Settings, select 'More' under 'Wireless & Networks' and then select the 'Portable hotspot' option. Next, select the checkbox next to the 'Portable Wi-Fi hotspot'.

      The Wi-Fi will be reset into Wi-Fi Hotspot mode. Next, select the 'Configure Wi-Fi hotspot' option. In the 'Configure Wi-Fi hotspot' dialog, enter a Network SSID. This is the network identifier you will see on other devices. Next, select the type of security to be used. Security Options are:

      • Open – No security (not recommended)
      • WPA PSK – Wireless Protected Access (password required)
      • WPA2 PSK – Recommended setting (password required)

      With the WPA PSK and WPA2 PSK options, enter a password of at least 8 characters and then select 'Save'. Your Smart TV Box is now a Wi-Fi hotspot and can be accessed by other wireless devices like any other wireless network. 
    • Can iRevo Smart Device be upgraded?

      Yes. We regularly update our iRevo Smart TV app over the air.
    • Does iRevo Smart Device work without Internet?

      Yes, It works fine without Internet. Many apps (such as games, utility apps etc) do not require Internet, but you will not be able to use applications which requires internet access. 
    • Will the iRevo Smart TV be expanded to add more sites/content and applications?

      Yes, we are continuously adding new Channels to iRevo Smart TV. Certain types of media content can be added by the user via the Favorites function.

    • Do I need a user account in order to use iRevo Smart TV?

      Yes. If you have not used the iRevo Smart TV software before, you should click on New User icon on the login screen to create an iRevo User Account. Logging in is necessary to provide for content personalization and to allow for the single sign-on feature across multiple devices (more on that later) and to use your smartphone or tablet to interact with the TV using TelePlay. 
    • How do I create an iRevo Smart TV User Account?

      To create an iRevo User Account, click on ‘New User’ button on the login screen. The iRevo User Registration screen will appear. Complete the required information on the Registration Screen and then click the ‘Register’ button. Upon successful registration, you will be logged in as an iRevo Smart TV user. You will then see the End User License Agreement, please read and accept the terms under which you agree to use the iRevo Software.

      Important Note: Be sure to use a valid and active email address in the 'Email' and 'Verify Email' fields to which you have access. If you use an inactive or 'fake' e-mail account, it is possible that at a future date you may not be able to use iRevo software. You will also not be able to use the password recovery feature. 
    • How do I log in using my iRevo Smart TV User Account?

      If you already have an iRevo Username and Password, you can simply fill in those fields on login page and click on Login button. If you check the 'Remember Me' box for password, you will be automatically logged on when the Smart TV box is started next time or after you exit and launch the iRevo software. 
    • I've forgotten my iRevo User Account password. What can I do?

      If you have forgotten or don't know your iRevo User Account password, you can use the password reset feature of iRevo Smart TV. From the iRevo Smart PC Login Screen, select the 'Forgot Password?' button. The Reset Password screen will appear. Enter the email address you entered during the iRevo User Account creation or Facebook login process and a new password will be generated and sent to that email address. 
    • How fast of an Internet connection do I need?

      An Internet connection speed of at least 768kbps is required. A connection speed of 2-3Mbps or greater is desired for optimum performance and playback of HD quality video. 
    • How do I navigate the iRevo Smart TV software?

      You can navigate iRevo Apps with the included Remote Control, the Mouse (included with some models), and/or with an optional keyboard and/or with the optional iRevo Air Mousse. Basic navigation controls are indicated for the Remote Control, for the Mouse, and for a keyboard. Shortcut keys are noted as, indicating the number key for the shortcut on the Remote Control or the Keyboard

      a. Use the Arrow Keys to navigate Thumbnails and the Control Panel

      b. Click Page Down to go to the next Thumbnail Page

      c. Click Page Up to go back to the previous Thumbnail Page
      • Pressing OK , Left Mouse Click , Enter will:
      • Play the content represented by a Thumbnail in focus OR
      • Execute the command represented by the Action Key
      • Use the Back Key (see below) to go back to the previous Channel or View

      d. The Android Back key and App Back key works throughout the App

      e. You can use the Jump Menu (see 'Jump Menu' section) for fast switching between various Channels (Apps). It is NOT same as the Android Menu key. 
    • How do I play content from Channels that have episodes, like TV Shows?

      A single click on a thumbnail will Play the most recent episode (may take a few seconds before the video starts). For previous episodes, press and hold (long click), or press and hold (long click) 'OK' on a thumbnail to select a TV Show and then click on the control panel button 'Episodes' to display thumbnails of available episodes. Left Click or OK or ENTER to play the selected episode. 
    • Can I search for content from iRevo Smart TV?

      Most Channels support the Search function. The Search icon (magifying glass) displays the Search panel.

      To initiate a search, enter the search text in the space provided and press 'OK' or on screen keyboard, or 'Enter' or clicking the search button. In some channels, the search screen may provide for additional search options, such as 'Text', 'Tag', 'User', among others. To initiate a search, enter the search text in the space provided and then select the appropriate button, such as 'Text', 'Tag', 'User', for example, to filter the search by the selected type.

      Search Suggestions
      The Search function also includes an advanced search suggestion feature in many channels. When presented with search suggestions, you can select one of the suggestions using the arrow keys and then pressing 'OK' or 'Enter', or select the suggestion with the Mouse. You can disable Search Suggestions, if you desire, from the 'Setup' section within the Application. 
    • How do I Select Content for Sharing, Favoriting and more in iRevo Smart TV?

      A highlighted thumbnail can be 'Selected' by pressing the Action Key labeled 'Select' OR click and hold (long click) OR click and hold 'OK' on the thumbnail icon. A checkbox will be displayed on the top right of a selected thumbnail.

      You can de-Select a selected thumbnail the same way; by pressing the Action Key 'Select' or click and hold (long click) on the selected thumbnail. Selected item(s) can be shared or added to your favorite list using the Fav+ key on the Control Panel. For creating a play list for music and videos or slide ahow for photos; multiple thumbnails can be selected. 
    • Can I share content with iRevo Smart TV?

      Yes. Users can share 'Selected' (see above) content via Facebook, Twitter and Email by pressing the Share icon. Either an item that is in Focus or a Selected item will be shared.

      Arrow keys can be used to Select Facebook, Twitter or E-mail function for sharing. Pressing OK, or Enter, or left click to execute the share command.

      Facebook: This is the default selected option. Pressing this key will post the selected content to your Facebook Wall, assuming that you have authenticated iRevo Smart TV to do so. You can optionally enter a message in the space provided, which will also be posted to your Facebook Wall along with the 'Selected' content.

      Twitter: Selecting this key will post the selected content to Twitter, assuming that you have authenticated iRevo Smart TV to do so. You can optionally enter a short message along with the content as long as the URL to the content and the message both do not exceed 140 characters in length.

      E-Mail: Selecting this key will send a link to the content to a recipient via email. You must enter the recipient's email address in the space provided. 
    • How do I exit the iRevo Smart TV Software?

      There are three ways to exit the iRevo Smart TV:

      a. From the iRevo Smart TV Home Screen, select the 'Logout' button on the Left Hand Menu. Then right click with the mouse. Select 'Yes' to exit.
      b. From the iRevo Smart TV Android Menu, select the ‘Exit’ button.
      c. From the Jump Menu, select the 'Exit' icon.

      In all cases, you will be presented with a confirmation dialog box. To Exit the iRevo Smart TV, select 'Yes'. 
    • I have exited iRevo Smart TV, how do re-launch the iRevo Smart TV?

      On the Android Home screen, select the iRevo Smart TV icon to re-launch iRevo Smart TV. 
    • What is 'Single Sign-On' and what does it do for me?

      One of the key advantages of personalizing iRevo Smart TV is the Single Sign-On feature. The single sign-on feature allows you to use one user account on multiple devices.

      When you initially installed the iRevo Smart TV, you created an iRevo User Account. You may also have a phone/tablet running iRevo Apps. With the Single Sign-On feature, you log into all devices using the same user account.

      This will allow all of your devices to have all of your favorite content to be accessible from all of your devices. When you 'favorite' a movie on your iRevo Smart TV, it will also appear on your phone/tablet, instantly. No more moving playlists and content around and 'syncing' devices is a thing of the past. We make this possible because of our 'Cloud Based' architecture. 
    • How do I configure or set up the iRevo Smart TV software with my personal Web accounts?

      The iRevo Smart TV software is designed to deliver content on all channels whether you have a user account on those sites or not, except for channels that require a login, such as Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram.
      From the iRevo Smart TV home screen, select 'Setup', and then select 'Single Sign-On'. This section provides a common area to personalize the iRevo Smart TV for use with other applications, such as Facebook, Twitter and YouTube. To make the most of iRevo Smart TV, you will want to allow the iRevo Smart TV to interact with these external applications through the Single Sign-On section with one of two methods.

      Simple Login – External sites only require a simple login for access.

      Authentication – External sites, such as YouTube, Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram, among others, require the iRevo Smart TV to be 'authenticated' for access.

      For any of the external applications shown in the channel list for which you have a user account set up and want the iRevo Smart TV to interact with, select the Channel Name. Depending on the type of access required by a particular Channel (Simple Login or Authentication) the following will be presented:

      External Applications using Simple Login
      You will be presented with a Username and Password dialog box. Enter your Username and Password in the spaces provided and then click on the OK button. Your login for a given Channel will be stored and when you visit that Channel, you will automatically be logged into your user account for that particular channel. For security purposes, all information entered here is encrypted.

      External Applications requiring Authentication
      When an external application, such as Facebook, requires authentication, you will presented with a login from the external application asking you to login with your credentials for that particular application and then ask if you wish to Authenticate iRevo Apps for use with the external application. For security purposes, the information that iRevo Apps receives back from the external application is encrypted.

      You will be returned to the iRevo Smart TV, upon completion of the authentication process. 
    • Does iRevo Smart TV play cable TV?

      No. iRevo Smart TV does not play cable TV, but you can watch many TV shows and movies that are available online. 

    • TelePlay

    • What is TelePlay?

      TelePlay enables you to browse for content on your phone or tablet (running iRevo Apps) and play it on your iRevo Smart TV. It is similar to Apple’s Airplay. In order to use the TelePlay feature, your phone or tablet must be also be running iRevo Apps. 
    • How do I use TelePlay?

      Connect your Android Phone/Tablet with Smart TV:
      Step 1: On your phone/tablet running iRevo Apps, in the Android Menu touch the 'Connect' icon.
      Step 2: Select the 'Player' item to see the list of TelePlay enabled devices on your local network.
      Step 3: Select an item from the list to Pair with.

      If you do not see any players in the list, select the 'Re-Scan' option. You can also enter the IP Address of the Smart TV in the space provided and select the 'Connect' button. When the two devices are paired, you will hear a chime from both of the devices. If you do not know the IP address of the Smart TV, select the TelePlay Channel Icon on the home screen of the Smart TV, which will launch the TelePlay screen. The device name and the IP address of the Smart TV will be displayed at the top of the screen. Now, in any Channel (App), if you touch a content thumbnail on your phone or tablet, it will be played on the TV with which you paired. 
    • What options are available with TelePlay?

      Play Options: Lets you choose between PlayHere (on the mobile device), PlayThere (on the TV) & PlayTogether (mobile device & TV) TelePlay options.
      PlayHere: This option will play media on the device from which it was selected. Until connected to another device, this is the default state.
      PlayThere: This option will play content selected from the 1st device on the connected (2nd) device, like the Smart TV Box. This is the default state when two devices are connected.
      PlayTogether: Only available for photo channels. This option will play the selected content on both devices.
      TeleShift: Shifts live playback to the TV. To TeleShift, the Play Option should be set to PlayHere, as the PlayThere option is selected upon connecting two devices. The TeleShift option will only be displayed on phones/tablets when two devices have been paired.

      Yes. iRevo Smart PC can be used for video conferencing with softwares such as Skype. You can connect compatible webcams and use the built-in mic in the webcam for video conferencing.
